Our Mission
Members of the Old Bohemia Historical Society preserve and maintain the buildings and the grounds which reflect centuries of American history. We are stewards of St. Francis Xavier Shrine, a farmhouse, barns, museum, legacy boxwood, holly trees, and acres of farmland. Old Bohemia is a living monument to early Catholicism on the Delmarva Peninsula that pre-dates the United States.
The property shares a border with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources’ Old Bohemia Wildlife Management Area dedicated to preserving natural habitats, observing wildlife, and appreciating local flora and fauna.
